Other Game Stuff
001 'Codenames Pictures' for Two - Alternative Rules
I developed these rules to allow two players to play 'against the game'. In the official two player co-op rules you really cannot lose - instead you gain points depending on how
much you win by.
In this version the players can actually lose (and often will!), making it feel more like a game against real players. In particular, if 'the game' is doing well you have to
take a few more risks, in the same way you would in a normal game.
These rules are simple, but surprisingly effective...and can be used for the original Codenames word game too.
002 'Catan for Two' - Alternative Rules
I developed these rules to allow two players to play against each other, whilst introducing a third 'dummy' player
for additional trading and variability.
The dummy follows specific rules that are explained in just two pages. In fact, the final Summary sheet
summarises the dummy's turn in just a single sheet. It really makes for an interesting two-player game!
